About MIT Academy of Engineering

MIT Academy of Engineering accepts JEE Main and MHT CET scores for admission to BTech courses. MHT CET 2024 exam for the PCM group has started and will end on May 17, 2024. The results are expected to be out in the second week of June 2024. For BTech admission at MIT Academy of Engineering, students need to attend the MHT CET Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) which starts in June and ends in August 2024 (tentative).

MIT Academy of Engineering or MITAOE, was established in 1999 under the trust ‘Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Education and Research (MAEER)’. The institute offers Eight UG programs and three PG programs (M.Tech), in line with the guidelines of National Education Policy 2020. MITAOE is an autonomous institute affiliated with Savitribai Phule University. The institute has been accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade in the first and second cycles. MITAOE School of Design started in 2020 with 3 core pillars of pedagogy, viz., Tantra- Technology, Anubhav - Human experiences & Nirantar- Sustainability, offering Bachelor of Design (B.Des) courses with specializations in Product Design, Communication Design & User Experience Design. Amidst Engineering expertise around Computers, E&TC, and Mechanical leveraged to focus on ‘Technology-driven design’. Predominantly project-based curriculum in design, block teaching modules, and electives offered to students during the 3rd and 4th years further open up possibilities for newer specializations and career options for students. MITAOE has taken the initiative to implement NEP 2020. The curriculum of various programs is revised as per NEP guidelines. The MIT Academy of Engineering Alandi provides full-time B.Tech courses with six specializations. The candidate must have passed the HSC examination with a minimum cumulative score of 45%, with mathematics, physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects. Before applying for MIT Academy of Engineering admission to the computer science programme, candidates must take the JEE Main test or the MHT-CET offered by the DTE of Maharashtra. For SC/ ST/ OBC/ physically challenged applicants, there is a 5% mark relaxation at the time of admission.

Overall, MIT AOE is a decent college for the students to pursue engineering and build their career out of it. MITAOE has a sophisticated, cutting-edge infrastructure for its engineering department. The campus has a dedicated internet leased line, Wi-Fi, and modern PCs that are internally networked. The laboratories are well-maintained and well-equipped. The college offers decent and reasonably priced hostel accommodations for both boys and girls. Other facilities include a sports field that has a number of outdoor game equipment, a large and well-equipped canteen, a central auditorium with air conditioning, and a library.

MIT Academy of Engineering campus facilities

Library: MITAOE's central library gives students access to a huge variety of resources to help broaden the knowledge bases of its faculty and students. The library has 48,000 books and more than 11,000 titles. The library has a substantial collection of books, magazines, e-books, CDs, and DVDs, among other things. 

E-Library: A digital library containing a tonne of e-books, online journals, video lectures, e-resources, exam-related materials, etc. is provided by MITAOE. The college has also purchased access to a number of well-known online video courses from NPTEL, SWAYAM, and the National Digital Library.

Hostel: MIT Academy of Engineering Alandi has an on-campus hostel facility available for the students. A mess facility is also available at the rate of Rs 3000 per month on campus.
